Paul,
I'd have to disagree. Â C. congregata does come in yellow with purples. Â The spines do not appear to have the radial grooves characteristic of C. macerophylla. However, since this shell is about 1.5 inches in height, you do have a point about size. Â I have collected C. congregata at sizes slightly over an inch, but have not seen one at 1.5 inches. marlo |
