Are these turrids?
I'd like to know if these are turrids, the smaller one possibly being turricula coreanica or gemmula cosmoi, the larger one unknown.  Anyone have any ideas?  Thanks! Smile

Yes they are turrids.  The larger one looks like Gemmula deshayesi.  I'd say Turricula coreanica is a pretty good guess on the smaller (and immature) shell, but I'm not sure.  It definitely is not G. cosmoi.

Okay, a question about the coreanica - looking it up a bit, it appears that this shell was recently promoted from being a subspecies of turrid to its own family, Clavatulidae, and renamed "Makiyamaia coreanica".  Thoughts on this change?
