Kauai Conus
These cones were taken under coral rubble in Kauai. Â The smaller one was crabbed but the larger one (~40mm) was taken alive and is in great condition. Â I labeled them as C. pennaceus but I've seen various other names out there (C. espiscopus, C. magnificus, etc.) Â Is the Hawaiian species C. pennaceus?

Kauai Conus
Yes, they are Conus pennaceus. Conus episcopatus and magnificus do not occur in Hawaii. Conus episcopus is a form of pennaceus that lives only in Mauritius.
