ID help
Hi,

Can you help me with these shells please?

I don’t know exactly where they are from only that same place.

I think (and hope) they are Strombus gracilior but not sure. <a href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764714" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764714">http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764714</a><!-- m --></a>

A Busyon sp. and Oliva reticularis?
<a href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764613" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764613">http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764613</a><!-- m --></a>

And a Terebra sp (3 cm)?
<a href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764604" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764604">http://www.badongo.com/pic/8764604</a><!-- m --></a>

Thanks,

The strombs are Strombus alatus, gracilor is from the Pacific. The Busycon is contraria, can't say for the Oliva as it is too eroded but judging from the locality of the others (N. Caribbean?) it would probably be sayana. The Terebra looks like dislocata. These are all N.Caribbean/West Atlantic species.

I think Dave has them correct.  They all look like Florida/Caribbean.

1.  S. alatus: <a href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=694" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=694">http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologis ... wtopic=694</a><!-- m --></a>

2.  Oliva sayana:  http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist...wtopic=156

3. Busycon sinistrum Hollister, 1958 (Busycon sinistrum Hollister, 1958 is a synonym): <a href="http://www.jaxshells.org/busycon1.htm" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.jaxshells.org/busycon1.htm">http://www.jaxshells.org/busycon1.htm</a><!-- m --></a>

4.  T. dislocata: <a href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=487" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologist_Forum/index.php?showtopic=487">http://z14.invisionfree.com/Conchologis ... wtopic=487</a><!-- m --></a>
