Help Please with shells and (things)
1. Marginellidae (fossil?)

2. I believe these are bryozoans, a phylum of small colonial invertebrates not related to mollusks.

3. ? They look like surf-smoothed pebbles.  Are there features I am missing?

4. Marginellidae (fossil?)

5. Olividae (fossil?)

Thanks for the information, the only one that may? be partialy fossilized is the Olividae, the rest are not I think it is the way the light hits it from the scope. The little black things do not have  any features other than a few pits, some are round some are flat some are long but all are as shiny  and smooth as black sharks teeth are. Like I said I am just starting with the shells and your Identifacation page helps so very much. I just wasn't sure about the first one because it is a lot fatter and the lip is out farther than the other one.
Thanks again
