World Record size ancistrolepis vietnamensis
Hi guys! I don't know much about Buccinidae. I recently found out my Ancistrolepis vietnamensis specimen is a Giant at 118mm and will be the record size holder according to the World Record Shells registry. The current record is 114mm by Mr. Peter Stimpson, Vietnam.

I am selling this shell but I don't know how much it will be worth. I haven't registered it yet. I just thought it would be worth much higher if I gave the buyer the opportunity to declare it under his name as the new world record size ancistrolepis vietnamensis.

Can anyone tell me what shell is worth? Should I have it registered first before I sell it?

Thanks guys.

Hi Rafael,

I did register at shellauction but I really don't understand why I was not approved. I say this because after registering, you are asked to submit a short "essay' about yourself for "validation" purposes. I never heard from the site moderator again and I did not receive my password. 'Till now I'm wondering why. Perhaps only the big dealers are accepted on that site.
