Huatulco Mexico....approximately 1.5 inches long in shallow water

The only cone snail that i can find, which has spines/spikes, is the deadly Geography Cone....there is no mention of it being anywhere near the Tropical Eastern Pacific.
Thoughts?

The third picture reveals the underlying pattern, even though most of the shell is covered by periostracum. Conus princeps Linnaeus
The bristly periostracum is also typical of that species.
