FRAUDE BY CHINESE SHELLDEALER
Dear friends,
caution is needed when you're offered batches of expensive cypraea's by
the Chinese shell dealer called KOUHI GEN ("excellentshells").
Several Belgian collectors got ripped off for many thousands of dollars.
The ordered (and paid) shells (#Cypraea hirasei, #kuroharai,#jumbo
guttata's, teramachi, #langfordi's etc..) were all replaced by worthless
hungerfordi's and broken miliaris. This dealer looked trustworthy as he
was selling on shellauction.net and had good critics.
Unfortunately after pulling of this stunt he is no longer active.
As there is a possibility that the same batch has been offered & sold to
many collectors please let us know if you've been a victim of this dealer.
Regards,

Eddy.

FRAUDE BY CHINESE SHELLDEALER
The best thing to do, and adopting a personall idea it is never buy from the Chineese. Besides that problem comes the fakes albinos ; fake oranges ; etc.

Generally, and in my oppinion the best peices come from european dealers. Besides that, collectors avoid the unpleseant problems with costums.

Most Chineese dealers sell 50-70 or even 80% cheaper but whats the point if the quality does not exist ?

I usually participate in shellauction , bought a langfordi for 40 euros from a spanish dealer , and let me tell you that it was a very nice one.

In my humble oppinion there`s too many people selling shells ; too many imature shells on the market ( those greedy dealers ) ; repaired ; and the prices are really a mess and state shells as rarities when they are not .

Remember you all that buying cheap many times turns into a nightmare.
