Posting a picture for shell ID?

I'm new here and wanted to post a pic for help with ID on a shell but I can't find any info on how to post a pic or even if I can post a pic.  
So I'm asking a "post a pic?" question before I can ask my shell ID question!

Hi John,  Welcome aboard!  First, check out the announcement that appears at the top of the list of topics in the identification forum.  You may find helpful information there.  If you still can't manage to get your picture posted, just post your query without the picture, and email the pic to me.  I'll post it and insert the link into your query.
