Can I legally sell my shells?

I bought some empty shells in Mauritius 18 years ago.They were on sale in shops there. Would it be legal for me to sell them and maybe post them overseas (I am in the UK). I have no documentation.

Hi Margaret, as long as there are no Charonia species or Giant Clams it is O.K. to sell them here, you would not need a permit or anything to sell them here or send them abroad. Check out other shell dealers websites to give you an idea of prices.
