Snails from West Africa
Hi,
I'm sending two pictures. The first is a snail from Sikasso Mali and the secon one is from Uagadugu (Butkina Fhaso), I found it in a River Niger tributary. Could somebody help to ID? Thanks in advance. Rafa. http://www.badongo.com/pic/5204624 http://www.badongo.com/pic/5204631 |

The snail looks like an immature Achatina. Â I'm not sure of the species, but will try to look it up this evening, when I have access to my books. Â Can't help you with the fresh water bivalve. Â --Last edited by Paul Monfils on 2009-02-02 16:42:08 --

For the bivalve try this website
