Looking for miters id
Hello @ll,
I scuba this morning (France, Mediterranean sea) and found a black miter in 19m deep. Does someone knows what species it belongs to ? http://www.badongo.com/pic/817304 http://www.badongo.com/pic/817305 Bye DAVID |

It appears to be Mitra nigra (Gmelin, 1791). The shape of the shell would indicate that it is a male. The females of this species are more slender. Â --Last edited by Paul Monfils on 2007-07-16 04:01:56 --
