What is the distribution of Pitar dione ?
Hi all. Some years ago I`ve travel to Costa Rica and I collected a nice set of seashells. Rafa made a lot of posts for identifications that where very usefull to me. Thanks Rafa and all the people who answer him   <img src="images/smiley/up.gif" alt="" border="0" />

But my problem is that I`ve collected 5 or 6 Pitar dione like bivalves. The problem is that I collected them in Tamaarindo beach, in the pacific coast, and as far as I know Pitar dione is a caribean Species.

I`ve one spectacular specimen and a set of others not so well preserved. I think it should be another species than Pitar dione, because of his distribution and I think that it is not so exactly than the photos and descrïptions of Pitar dione.

I let you a picture:
