Mystery Shells from Florida

Re: Mystery Shells from Florida
The first one is the Lightning Whelk, Busycon sinistrum.  The second is the Florida Horse Conch, Triplofusus giganteus.  Both are common Florida species.  Also, they are both marine species, so they didn't come from Lake Okeechobee unless someone threw them in there.  In near perfect condition they might be worth $10.00 each, but this Busycon is in pretty poor condition, and the Triplofusus is only fair condition.
