A better photo and request for identification
I believe Dave meant to say the third shell is Mya arenaria. Â This and the Spisula are both marine species. Â Mya arenaria is also abundant in the eastern United States, where I live. Â It is a commercially important species here. Â The second one however, with the black flaky periostracum, is a fresh water species. Â I am not sure of the species.
