OOPS! Sorry about that! I should have opened the actual image rather than simply looking at the small icon. This could be a bit difficult to ID by comparing it to pictures in books because it is a right ("lower") valve, while almost all books show the left valve of Pectinidae, and the shapes are somewhat different. It looks to me like a young Mimachlamys sanguinea (Linne, 1758). I'm not certain, and perhaps one of our Pectinidae experts might have another idea.
