ID help for scallops and clams?

Hello!  Would anyone be able to help ID these scallops, (maybe) clam shells and one limpet?  Thanks!  ;D

1.  Could be Clinocardium ciliatum (family Cardiidae) from the northern Atlantic and northern Pacific coasts of North America, but there are similar species from other parts of the world.  The problem here is that the angles at which you photographed the shell don't provide a clear view of the shell outline - whether it is nearly round or more oval in outline, whether one end is more rounded than the other - which are important features for identification.  A bivalve photo for ID should show a straight-on view of the exterior (shooting straight down when the single valve is lying on a flat surface), and if possible a straight-on view of the interior.  Also, the size of any specimen submitted for ID should be mentioned, and if possible the locality where collected.

3.  Lyropecten subnodosus, western Central America

4.  Several possibilities here.  If this is larger than 125 mm (5"), it is a lower valve of Pecten caurinus from western North America.  If it is smaller, then there are a few possibilities, including of course a young P. caurinus.

Thank you so much    The problem with about half of what I currently own is that they were given to me, so I have no information on where they came from.  The two that I think are clams are fixed in this position, the only way to show the interior flat would be to break them apart which I don't want to do... ???

I will take pictures of them again that are hopefully better for you and measure them, will post them shortly!

I saw.  Those ones had already been identified in the other thread, I just hadn't changed them on the flickr page yet to reflect this.  The one you called "Raphitoma reticulata" was ID'd as Lophiotoma indica by Paul Monfils who also ID'd the land snail as Viviparus malleatus rather than contectus but they both look so similar!

Since that was the other thread though, do you happen to have any ideas for the scallops and clams?  8)

Hey, Paul Monfils?  Where did you go?    I tried retaking the pics for you and you never came back.  Can anyone else maybe confirm Paul's first guesses if nothing else?

Hello!

I agree with identifications 3 and 5. These are deffinetely what Paul said they are.
About hinges on clams, sometimes if you soak them in warm water for a little while they become flexible again and you can move them without breaking the hinge. Although, there is also the possibility of breaking the hinge.
