Hi Mark, it looks like a Hipponix of some sort but I can't say which species as the picture is too small. Any chance of a larger image?

ID Help
Hello Olivier,
Thanks for your help. The first link I knew for a long while because I use the net for try to ID my shells. Your site very nice but unfortunately I haven’t experience to find the small identification criterias. For example you have a good picture about an ideal Raphitoma bicolor. I identify his form but missed the light spots so it’s stay unidentified The Haliotidae (except ovina) were too similar for me . This microshells I selected a lot of sandy refuse. I have more but these could I segregate. (I will try separate other species) The Turritella ( not from Adriatic Sea) was too big and wide for me to be T. communis. It’s possible in this size? I could only few shells myself and I would like to ID them because they more precious for me then others. Best regards, Mark Hi Dave, Thanks for your help too. As I wrote the small difference among other species and the difference in one species usually beats me. Your experience great help for me. Maybe I find the unknown “Patella†|
