Shell Help - yugena - 06-18-2009

I've had this shell for some time now and have never found another one like it. It was found on the shore in Panama, Florida.

My apologies if the picture is a bit large.

Hi there, it looks like the Florida Spiny Jewel Box, Arcinella cornuta. This is a bivalve shell like a clam and you have one half.
