another unknown shell - dave r - 06-17-2009 To me it looks like a member of the family Colubrariidae but it is hard to say which species as the photo is a little pale. Dave another unknown shell - conchylinet - 06-17-2009 Hi, I have no idea of what could be the specie below neither can I determine its family. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is from Mauritius and is 26mm long. Ta. another unknown shell - conchylinet - 06-18-2009 Thank you a lot Dave ! I think you pointed the right family and I could find matching species to be either Colubraria nitidula (Sowerby, 1833) or Colubraria ceylonensis (Sowerby, 1833). I agree the picture is not very good, but so is the quality of the shell. Pierre |
