All these shells have been collected diving at 30ft approximately in Samana on the north coast of the Dominican rep.
Thanks for your help..I am very new in shells identification although I have been collecting shells for a while...30 years!!

1. Muricopsis roseus (Reeve, 1846)

2. Probably Calliostoma jujubinum (Gmelin, 1791) The species is rather variable and I can't think of anything else it could be.

3. Pyrene (Conella) ovulata (Lamarck, 1822)

4. family Turridae - These small turrids are very hard to ID. Can't name it with any degree of confidence.

5. Anachis (Zafrona) dicomata (Dall, 1889)

6. Looks like a small species of Mitridae, but the angle of view is not useful for identification. A straight-on view of the underside showing the whole shell from apex to base would be much better. --Last edited by Paul Monfils on 2009-06-08 06:01:34 --

I had an idea for #4 but I see the image has been removed. Could you possibly repost it?
