Help ID this shell (maybe some type of Murex?) - moxed - 05-15-2009

Hello! I'm new the forum. Could you please help me identify this shell (genus/species if possible). I think it's some type of Murex, but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

Hi, welcome to the forum and the website.  Not a murex.  This is in the family Bursidae.  It appears to be Bursa (Bufonaria) rana  (Linnaeus, 1758).
