help in identifying these please - richard - 02-01-2009

The 1st item is 107mm, I think may be a Conus episcopatus, 2nd  item is 70mm is this a conus Textile? 3rd item is 55mm looks to be a Conus striatus . All three are from the south china sea Philippines. Any help is always appreciated. Richard.

Hi Richard, the first one looks more like Conus aulicus to me but the other two are correct. That is a nice dark striatus, I have some from Reunion that are as dark as that but I have never seen one from the Philippines that colour.

Dave after rechecking the fine taper at the end and the orange shade inside it is a Conus aulicus. The dark striatus is the 1st I have come across here all the others have a lot of pink and white. Thank you for your time Dave.
