shell id help - o2koold - 11-11-2007

I am looking to id a shell we find while on a cruise to the caribean. it is clam like, about 2 inches by 1 inch. It is a translucent milky white witha "sunburst" pattern of yellow alternating to orange/pink from it's hinge point. Thank you for your help to ID this shell

Sounds like a Sunrise Tellin, Tellina radiata. Compare it to these pictures:

If that isn't it I'll try to think of something else that fits. --Last edited by Paul Monfils on 2007-11-13 06:22:55 --
