shell identification - paul monfils - 03-16-2007
This is a species of Melanoides, in the family Thiaridae. I'm not certain of the exact species. It compares favorably with the illustration of Melanoides torulosa in Shells of the Philippines. But other pictures of supposed Melanoides torulosa posted online look somewhat different.
