Found 4metres down in bed rock today! - nutmeg71411 - 08-24-2006 Please can you help me identify this shell? It measures 3mm and was found inland (East Midlands, England) approx 4metres down in bed rock (10,000+ years old) containing shell fragments and amazingly this little one was found and carefully removed - IN TACT! <img src="smile/eek.gif" alt="smile/eek.gif" style="border:0" /> I wonder if (Paul Monfils particularly!) may be able to identify the species please! <a href="http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/Nutmeg_14/15812.jpg" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/Nutmeg_14/15812.jpg">http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/ ... /15812.jpg</a><!-- m --></a> <a href="http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/Nutmeg_14/15792.jpg" target="_blank"><!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/Nutmeg_14/15792.jpg">http://i78.photobucket.com/albums/j108/ ... /15792.jpg</a><!-- m --></a> Best regards, Mary  <span class="petit">--Last edited by nutmeg71411 on 2006-08-25 10:49:15 --</span> |
