Specimen Shell Collection Possibly For Sale - rockyredbaron - 07-02-2010 I am considering selling my entire Specimen Shell Collection.  You may view samples of my collection by going to my Profile page.  There are 3 links there to Flickr to view them.  My one consideration is that I would like to maximize my return on the sale of these shells.  If anyone can give me some idea on how best to do this (Serious comments only please). Thanks to all Specimen Shell Collection Possibly For Sale - de donder - 08-20-2010 Hi, If you decide sell your collection wholesale a dealer might make an offer.  As a dealer also has to make a profit this is an easy and quick way to sell an entire collection, but not a way to maximize your return.  If you want to make the maximum, then you can sell your shells one by one (or in small lots) on an auctions site (shellauction, ebay etc) or you can buy a table at a shell show and as such sell your shells directly to collectors.  Hope these ideas are of some help.  Best regards
