Re: Is this Muricidae? - paul monfils - 03-16-2012 Yes, it is Muricidae, but a positive ID without locality data could be difficult.  There are a number of small muricids more or less similar to this, and this specimen looks quite worn.  It could be Ocenebra erinaceus from the Mediterranean.
