4 costellariidae sp. - diocrisseashells1000 - 02-10-2012 Hello collectors, this are 4 small vexillum sp. can somebody help me to id this? All are from Philippine island. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63645283@N ... 254063235/ Thanks in advance, Diocris. Re: 4 costellariidae sp. - paul monfils - 02-11-2012 #3 looks like an immature Vexillum gruneri. #4 is pretty worn, but I think it may be Vexillum mutabile. Re: 4 costellariidae sp. - diocrisseashells1000 - 02-11-2012 Many thanks Paul, Any idea on 1 & 2 ? It seems the 2 are juvenile Vexillum rugosum but i am not sure..... any opinion? Thanks again, Diocris Re: 4 costellariidae sp. - paul monfils - 02-12-2012 V. rugosum also occurred to me, but after comparing several specimens to your image I didn't think the sculpture was strong enough, or the lip angular enough, so I wasn't confident enough to mention it. Still, could be. |
