Re: North adriatic small snail id? - wolfi - 02-09-2012

Hi,
should be Clanculus corallinus (Gmelin, 1791) , I think........ .
Kind regards: wolf

Re: North adriatic small snail id? - poseidon - 02-09-2012

yes corallinus because why the clanculuc jussieui shell is fully smooth, the clanculus cruciatus has small tooth ( and sometime doesn't has any tooth)

Re: North adriatic small snail id? - poseidon - 02-09-2012

yes corallinus. the differences between the other med species are: jussieui shell is fully smooth while the cruciatus has very small tooth and sometimes doesn't has any tooth.
