Two unnamed specie - diocrisseashells1000 - 02-01-2012 Hello Collectors, this two specie are still unnamed, can you please help me to id this. I think #1 is a buccinum and #2 is an ellobiidae sp. both from Philippines http://www.flickr.com/photos/63645283@N ... 125701567/ Many thanks Diocris. Re: Two unnamed specie - conchylinet - 02-02-2012 Hi #1 no idea #2 is a Pythia specie (maybe Pythia scarabeus Linne 1758) Pierre Re: Two unnamed specie - paul monfils - 02-03-2012 #1 appears to be Ergalatax contracta, a rather variable species. Re: Two unnamed specie - diocrisseashells1000 - 02-03-2012 Thanks Pierre & Paul for your help, but i dont think #2 is a Pythia scarabeus, the pseudoumbilicus is different from typical p.scarabeus it seems ressemble to pythia cecillei, but my specie is very small and the shape is rather quadrangular. http://www.gastropods.com/Taxon_pages/T ...
