where to find shells in Seychelles? - Swedcone - 01-04-2012
I am currently on the Seychelles and I am looking for shells on Mahé - and will be going to Praslin and La Digue later on. Does anyone have a good lead to traders on these islands?

I have visited the Seychelles in 1983 and 1985 and did some nice collecting overthere. At that time there was a local collector - Antoine Maness - who had quite interesting shells to offer. We did some exchanges during my 2nd stay.
On the other hand: is collecting still possible at the Seychelles? In 1983 and 1985 some areas at Mahé were Marine Parks (and collecting was forbidden of course). But is the situation still unchanged?
