SMALL BIVALVE - Carlos Galan - 09-11-2011 Hello, this is a small shell (4 mm) that was between Pollicipes pollicipes, in the atlantic coast of Spain. Does anybody knows the specie? ¿Can be a Mytillus? Re: SMALL BIVALVE - Emma - 09-12-2011 Hello Carlos, It is definetely Mytilidae; it might be perna perna. The colour isn't exactly correct, in my experience, for M. edulis. Of course, it may be a juvenile M. galloprovincialis; sometimes they are yellowish in colour. Best wishes, Emma.
