Got a lot of them - wbaltz - 12-01-2017 So I apologize for all the posts RE: Got a lot of them - paul monfils - 12-02-2017 #1 and 2 - a top shell, of the family Trochidae. The outer layer has been etched away to show the pearly underlayer. Given its large size it is almost certainly Trochus niloticus. #3 and 4 - a murex shell, family Muricidae, probably Chicoreus florifer from Florida and the Caribbean area #5 - a Chlamys species, family Pectinidae, probably a small juvenile of a larger species |
