land snail - conchylinet - 03-23-2011 Hello, I have this operculated shell (land or freshwater ?) found beached after heavy rain in Mauritius. Any ID help would be appreciated. it is over 60mm. Thanks Pierre Re: land snail - wolfi - 03-24-2011 Hi Pierre, it´s surely a freshwater snail, family Ampullariidae. It should be Genus Pomacea. Sorry, but it´s difficult for me to tell the species.
