unkown bivalve - caroletho - 02-07-2011

Hello,
I've found this shell a few years ago in France and I really can't identify it. Can you help me please?

It is a very worn, broken fragment of something, but in this condition it is almost impossible to identify. I would hazard a guess at a Cockle of some kind.
