help identify - Robert Lance - 07-10-2014 Hi Please could you help identify this. We picked it up on the beach at Stilbaai, South Africa. It is about 10cm by 14 cm. Thanks Robert rj.lance499@gmail.com RE: help identify - paul monfils - 07-10-2014 This is Argonauta argo. This is not a true shell, but actually an egg case or brood chamber of an octopus-like animal. It is often referred to as a "paper nautilus" You can get more information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argonaut_(animal) RE: help identify - Robert Lance - 07-10-2014 (07-10-2014, 11:15 PM)paul monfils Wrote: This is Argonauta argo.
