PS: The rule is metric, so you can see centimeters not inches!

1 cm = 0,39 inches

Hello!  This is Strombus (Lobatus) goliath, the "Goliath Conch", largest member of the Conch Family (Strombidae), from the northeastern shores of South America, most commonly Brazil.  It is a prized collector's item, fairly difficult to obtain in prime condition.

Actually these shells are collected (of course many of them bougth by her) by my wife. She lived one year in Guatemala and 6 months in Brazil. But she can't remember the name of most of them. This is the reason of searching this forum.

Gradually I'll post all of them, if you don't care.
