The first looks like Conus regius from the Caribbean and the second like Conus achatidea from the Indo-Pacific. but sizes and a view of the aperture would help.

I'm out of town and will have to check on that in a week.  Thanks for your help.

Conus achatidea - JeffJenny - 12-01-2010

Any ideas about where I could find information on Conus achatidea?  I'm not finding it in the usual databases.

Try here:

This is an excellent website for all Gastropods.

Hi,
I think it may be Conus guanche from Canary Islands.

My research:

It could even be a ventricosus! That is why I said an apertural view and dimentions would be useful.

Re: Need more cone help - JeffJenny - 12-06-2010

Finally got home and found the cone.  It measures 38 mm.  Here is a view of the aperture:

Does the new photo with the aperture change anyone's opinion?  Thanks for your feedback, everyone.

Re: Need more cone help - dave r - 12-10-2010

It certainly looks to be in the aemulus/hybridus/ventricosus complex, it could even be ermineus, check out the holotype here:
