Conus from Mauritius - conchylinet - 11-02-2010 Hello, I have these two cones from Mauritius (Western Indian Ocean). Any help to identify them would be welcome. Thanks! Pierre. Re: Conus from Mauritius - andrey - 11-09-2010 Upper cone (39mm) may be Conus distans juvenile, and the bottom is likely Conus distans chinoi juvenile such as conchology.be: Re: Conus from Mauritius - conchylinet - 11-12-2010 Thanks Andrey. I do agree with bottom one, I am not sure the top one is a distans aswell. Re: Conus from Mauritius - dave r - 11-12-2010 The top one looks more like moreleti to me. Dave Re: Conus from Mauritius - conchylinet - 11-17-2010 Thanks Dave. Pierre. Re: Conus from Mauritius - conpa - 01-06-2011 The top one is Conus moreleti. The one on the bottom is a juvenile Conus distans. Such a juveile was described as Conus chinoi.
