Padre Island - tom heimer - 10-09-2009 We may be in S. Padre I., TX. Plan some diving to maybe 100 ft. I'm wondering if anyone has found more "Caribbean" shells than say in Pensacola/N.Gulf coast? Thanks for the pictures. This scallop looks much like the common Atlantic Bay Scallop found in Bays, etc. along the U.S. East and Gulf coasts. Padre Island - marlo - 12-01-2009 It is. Â However, the Texas form seems to be one of those "common" shells that's surprizingly difficult to obtain. |
