A SPECIAL 132 MM MURICANTHUS PRINCEPS - pilsbryi - 05-01-2009

This it is one of those panamic muricidae that are hard to clean and hardly seen over 100 mm or so. It can reach about 140 mm and i had the luck to get by chance a granny . It took me a lot of labour to clean it , but at the end worth it.

At this stage they are really impressive and rare . This was caught in Baja ; Mexico in 1996.

It has one or other broken spine at apex only, perfectly normal for a specimen this large. Besides that at the same quality level as 70-80 mm ones.

Since i felt it is something beyond normal, i just wanted to tell that, feel free for asking for its pictures.
