Hello again
At the attached picture you will find some shells which I soppose belong to the Trochus genus.

<a href="http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=5646047" target="_blank"><img src="http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/16010583937.jpg" alt="http://img2.putfile.com/thumb/6/16010583937.jpg" style="border:0" /></a>

The height of these shells is up to 15 mm and the diameter is 10 mm. There is no umbilicus present.

Maybe you can help my identifying these shells.

Thank you  <span class="petit">--Last edited by wolfgang.j.braun on 2007-06-10 16:59:18 --</span>
This is certainly in the family Trochidae, but not in the genus Trochus. Probable genus either Jujubinus or Cantharidus.  Species uncertain.
Hello Paul
Thank you for your help. I started a deeper internet research and foud the species Cantharidus suarezensis. What do you think about this proposal?<img src="smile/freak6.gif" alt="smile/freak6.gif" style="border:0" />
