Full Version: Found 4metres down in bed rock today!

Please can you help me identify this shell?
It measures 3mm and was found inland (East Midlands, England) approx 4metres down in bed rock (10,000+ years old) containing shell fragments and amazingly this little one was found and carefully removed - IN TACT! <img src="smile/eek.gif" alt="smile/eek.gif" style="border:0" />
I wonder if (Paul Monfils particularly!) may be able to identify the species please!
