Please help me identify this cowrie species from Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Australia

Very difficult from a live animal. Do you have the shell itself? What size is it? It may be something rare.

No I didn't collect the animal, so just have the photos of the live animal.

First of all...it is a real splendid photo. To me (though I am not entirely certain of it) it is Cypraea subviridis Reeve

I've searched and found a few images of live Cypraea subviridis and I think you are right with your indentification.
