Haven't posted in awhile, but recently returned from Huatulco, MX with pictures of some unidentified Gastropods. I know this is mainly a shell identification forum, but I really like taking pics of what I see, especially live ones. I would greatly appreciate any help with this one, as well as ones I will be posting subsequently. This looks like a Pitchy Nerite (Nerita picea), but cannot find any reference to them being found in the Tropical Eastern Pacific. Thoughts?
Nerita scrabicosta or N. funiculata
Size?
Very often small details are important to distinguish similar species.
Appears to be Nerita funiculata Menke

About a half inch and your point is well taken. I shall keep that in mind, when posting future pics. I really appreciate your help. Thx

I really appreciate your help Paul. I considered that one, but rejected it because there was no visible white area. Of course, now that I've seen your ID and searched further, I've phone some that look identical. Thx again!!
