Hello friends!

I have some photos (not very good quality, I'm affraid) of Spondylus from the Philippines. Could anybody help me with a name? I have provided sizes. Thanks for all your help.

1. Spondylus echinatus or sinensis?  107 mm.

Hi Emma,
I would like to help identify your beautifull shells, tho it is difficult to view it on that position, if it is only on reverse position (umbones on top) that would be much better,
If this really are from Philippines this is the best i can guess. I might be wrong but i have to try it.

#1. This might be  Spondylus longitudinalis (Lamarck, 1819) or S. echinatus.
#2. Spondylus barbatus (Reeve, 1856)
#3 & 5. Spondylus variegatus (Schreibers, 1793)
#4.Spondylus plurispinosus (Reeve, 1865) But this species status is unaccepted, according to WORMS.
