This cowrie was collected from dredged material at Jizan, Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea. Having trouble identifying it.

I thought it might be Cypraea turdus (Syn. Erosaria turdus) but it does not have many spots.

This this the only cowrie with that white callous base. Some have a lot of spots, some not. Some ahve an overall clear yellow color and some are truely white.
