Hello,
Can somebody help with the ID of the cone below ?
It comes from Mauritius (south-west indian ocean) and measures about 30mm.

Looks like one of the innumerable color forms of Conus janus, immature at that size.

Having second thoughts on this one after taking another look.  While the pattern is almost identical to some Conus janus I have, C. janus usually has a more broadly rounded shoulder and more inflated whorls than this shell.  Also, the lines of small dots seen on this shell are not typical of C. janus.  You might want to consider Conus maldivus.  C. maldivus is extremely variable, and most of them don't look anything like this.  But, if you have Manual of the Living Conidae, check out #19 on Plate 33.  What do other Conists think about this?
I would say maldivus too.
