Would appreciate any assistance in identifying this yellow beauty that I have owned for 30 years. Recall mention of it being from Africa. That's all I know.

This is Tridacna squamosa, the "Fluted Giant Clam".  It could be from eastern Africa, but the species is found all over the tropical Indo-Pacific region.
